Susan, Sue to her friends, was born on August 10th 1966. Sue had an older sister and a younger brother and was a devoted daughter to her mum, Mavis, who to sum up Sue's passing, misses her more and more every day, more than anybody will ever know.

Sue was a very popular, down to earth girl, who loved life and her trademark was her smile. A smile which is very much missed.

During Sue's short life, she went to work, but devoted her life to her two children, Michael and Louise and of course to her mum, their relationship went beyon Mother & Daughter, they were soul mates, hinge and bracket, wherever there was one there was sure to be the other ;-) . Sue cherished them all and did the very best by each one of them.

Approximately 11 years ago, Sue was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Treatment was administered and despite the massive impact initially on Sue's health, her love of life and determination to be there for others won through and she dealt with each new day with that wonderful smile of hers.

Sadly the tumour returned, this time more aggresive than ever and once again Sue prepared to fight the battle. Despite her fight and strong spirit, Sue lost her fight for life on July 22nd 2004. Her passing was peaceful, but how she struggled. Although her body was ravaged with the drugs and treatment, her humour, love and devotion to those that mattered most to her, shone through. On reflection, she is and remains an inspiration to many.

Sue's devotion and love for her mum, Mavis, has left a huge void in her life and an ache to want to hold her, touch her and chat with her in the way that they used to always do. I hope that as time moves on, Sue's mum will be comforted and reassured that Sue is now at eternal peace and that when the time is right, they will both be reunited, together forever.

Sue loved music, Christmas time and making a home for her two kids. Sue will live on in the music memories, in the Christmas spirit and in all the good things that she stood for as a person.

rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side

Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.

just reading about this lovely brave girl brought a tear to my eye, i lost my son to a brain tumour 2 years ago. it had been growing silently for several years with no symptoms it was an astrocytoma in his midbrain doctors did all they could but it was in a very bad place & we lost him just 4 months after it was diagnosed. i truly am so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful daughter & mum because she had so much to live for just like my boy. i hope susan meets my barry up in heaven he's a very funny guy with a great sense of humour & he'll make her laugh. xxx
